The
project includes the design and construction of the strengthening interventions
of the building complex of Miramare Hotel in Eretria Evia, which covers a total
area of about 3500 m2. The strengthening interventions involve the strengthening
of existing vertical elements of reinforced concrete by increasing the cross-section
with the application of new steel reinforcement, cast concrete and shotcrete,
increasing the confinement of columns with carbon fibre fabrics, the implementation
of shear reinforcement using epoxy resins etc. Interventions are also carried
out at the foundation of the building,
The budget reached 110.000,00 euros approximately. The construction began in
November 2007 and lasted two months.
