The project involves the structural strengthening of four reinforced concrete buildings (one eight-story building with two basement levels and three three-story buildings, each with a basement), with a total surface area of approximately 4,500 m², located within a residential complex in Voula.

The primary objective of the intervention was the overall architectural upgrade of the complex, with a key feature being the significant increase in the width of the perimeter cantilever balconies, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

The strengthening of the structural system was mainly carried out through the application of reinforced concrete jacketing (both shotcrete and cast-in-place) on columns and beams. At the same time, new perimeter balconies were constructed at all levels, along with other architectural interventions.

In selected areas, additional strengthening techniques were applied, including the construction of new reinforced concrete shear walls and the use of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) systems, where required.

The total project budget was approximately €2.500,000, and the works were carried out between June 2025 and April 2026.

The project involves the strengthening of reinforced concrete slabs and beams at the Olympic Indoor Hall (OAKA Indoor Arena), aiming to increase their load-bearing capacity in order to accommodate additional loads arising from the construction of new suites.

The strengthening interventions were carried out using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) systems. Specifically, FRP wrapping was applied to enhance shear capacity, while bonded FRP laminates were used to improve flexural performance.

The total project budget amounted to approximately €150,000, and the works were completed within a one-month period in late 2025.

This is the seismic retrofit of an 8-storey reinforced concrete hotel with a total area of approximately 8,500 m² in Chalkida. The strengthening was primarily carried out using reinforced concrete jackets (shotcrete and cast-in-situ) on over four hundred columns and some of the beams. Simultaneously, interventions were made at specific locations of the building using other strengthening methods such as new RC shear walls or FRP fabrics and laminates, due to architectural and operational reasons.

The budget of the project was approx. 900.000€ and the works were carried out between November 2022 and July 2023.

The project involved the restoration and strengthening of a steel bridge structure that had sustained extensive damage due to severe corrosion.

In particular, the column base plates, bracing members, and numerous stiffening plates exhibited significant deterioration and cross-section loss, as a result of prolonged exposure to the marine environment.

Depending on the extent of deterioration, structural elements were either replaced or strengthened through the addition of new steel plates.

Upon completion of the strengthening works, a corrosion protection system was applied through protective coatings, while the column bases were encased in reinforced concrete blocks to ensure long-term protection against future corrosion.

The works were carried out in March and April 2025.

The project involved the removal of six columns at the façade of a supermarket store in Alimos.

The demolition was carried out with the implementation of temporary shoring to support the overlying slabs, ensuring the structural stability of the building during the works. Following the removal of the columns, permanent support of the slabs and beams was achieved through the construction of a steel frame.

The works were completed within a one-month period in early 2025, while the store remained fully operational throughout the entire duration of the interventions.

The project involves the construction of a new supermarket with an area of approximately 5,000 m² in Neos Kosmos, Athens. The building has a parking area on two levels (basement and ground floor), as well as a two-story sales area (first and second floor). The works included the construction of the temporary earth-retaining structures with excavations up to about 12m high.

The budget amounted to around €8,000,000.00, and the works were completed in just 8.5 months, between May and December 2022.

The project involves the seismic strengthening of the reinforced concrete columns of several buildings in an industrial facility in Eleonas, Viotia. The strengthening was carried out employing FRP wrapping. Simultaneously, repair works were carried out for the protection of the reinforcement of the concrete members against corrosion, employing repair mortars and corrosion inhibitors.

The intervention works lasted 4 months, between May and July of 2024, and the total budget was approx. 500.000€.

The project involves the structural assessment and the design of the strengthening interventions in an industrial facility in Oinofyta. The facility consists of three structurally independent reinforced concrete buildings constructed in the early 1970s. The seismic retrofit of the buildings was carried out using new RC walls, RC jackets and fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) fabrics.

The study was conducted in 2024 over a period of 75 days, it employed the procedures of the Greek Interventions Code (KANEPE) for nonlinear dynamic analysis using the SeismoBuild software. The acceleration time-histories were matched to fit the elastic response spectrum of the Oinofyta region.
