The project involves the seismic evaluation and the design of the strengthening interventions of a 12.000m\u00b2 11-storey building with 2 basements in the centre of Athens. It is a reinforced concrete building with some large prestressed beams.<\/p>\n

The design of strengthning was done employing the nonlinear static methods of SeismoBuild.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u03a4he checks were all carried out according to EC8-Part 3. The project was completed in 2019 and the strengthening proposal involved the construction of several large RC shear walls and the strengthening of several existing vertical members either with RC jackets or FRP wrapping.<\/p>\n<\/div>
