The project involves the structural assessment and the design of the strengthening interventions in an industrial facility in Oinofyta. The facility consists of three structurally independent reinforced concrete buildings constructed in the early 1970s. The seismic retrofit of the buildings was carried out using new RC walls, RC jackets and fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) fabrics.

The study was conducted in 2024 over a period of 75 days, it employed the procedures of the Greek Interventions Code (KANEPE) for nonlinear dynamic analysis using the SeismoBuild software. The acceleration time-histories were matched to fit the elastic response spectrum of the Oinofyta region.

This study concerns the evaluation of the seismic behavior of a four-story reinforced concrete building in Vouliagmeni, Athens. The building was constructed in the early 1970s without seismic design standards, it has an area of 2,000 m² approximately and it had suffered significant damage due to settlement caused by the general excavation of the neighboring plot.

The study was conducted in 2023, and for the seismic evaluation and the strengthening of the building’s members non-linear static and dynamic analyses were performed using the SeismoStruct software. These analyses examined the building’s seismic behavior with and without the influence of the settlement. The restoration and strengthening of specific structural elements that had suffered the most severe damage were proposed, as well as the repair of all cracks in the infill walls.

The project involves the seismic assessment and the seismic retrofit of a 8,500 m2 hotel in Chalkida. The building is made of reinforced concrete and it was constructed in the early 1970s. The strengthening was carried out using a combination of methods: shotcrete jackets, new cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls, the construction of wing walls on existing columns in order to increase their dimensions, and wrapping fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) fabrics.

The project was carried out in 2022 over a period of 40 days. For the seismic assessment and strengthening of the building components, the nonlinear static procedure (pushover analysis) was employed according to Eurocode 8. All the analyses and checks were conducted with the SeismoBuild software.

The study concerns the structural assessment and strengthening of a reinforced concrete slab with a total surface area of 1,800 m² at an industrial facility in Nafpaktos. The slab had suffered severe damage and cracking due to poor concrete casting, as well as thermal cracking. There was also the additional need to increase the gravity loads that the slab could support. Initially, static analyses with 2D finite elements were conducted, in order to confirm the cause of the cracking, by matching the stresses diagram of the model against the real cracks distribution. Subsequently, retrofit and strengthening interventions for the slab were proposed: sealing the cracks with resin injections and strengthening in bending with FRP laminates.

The study was carried out in late 2020.

The project involves the structural assessment and the strengthening of the 17 structurally independent buildings of the vocational secondary schools in Chalkida, with a total area of approximately 17,000 m². The superstructure of the buildings consisted of reinforced concrete frames (in 2 of them, the roof of the top floor was made of steel), and they were based on deep (pile) foundations, due to the very soft soil substrate.

The proposed strengthening scheme included reinforced concrete jackets for all vertical elements and several beams, as well the application of FRP wrapping to some of the members, where jackets were not easily applicable.

The study was conducted in 2023. For the seismic evaluation and strengthening of the buildings the nonlinear static procedure with pushover analysis in accordance with the Greek Intervention Code (KANEPE) was carried out, using the SeismoBuild and SeismoStruct software packages.

The building was constructed in the 1960s without seismic specifications, and during its operation it had suffered significant damage due to corrosion as well as the shear failure of some of the beams, due to increased loading. The proposed interventions scheme included the strengthening of all vertical and many horizontal members with shotcrete jackets, as well as measures for the protection of the structure against corrosion.

The building was constructed in the early 1980s and had a significant lack of shear reinforcement, even by the standards of its construction period. The assessment was carried out in 2023 using the Geek Interventions Code KAN.EPE. and employing of the non-linear static procedure (NSP with pushover analysis) with the SeismoBuild software package.

The building was constructed in the early 1980s with relatively low seismic specifications. The retrofit measures consisted of new RC walls, RC jackets, and wrapping with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) fabrics.

The study was conducted in early 2024 over a period of 30 days, and it employed the procedures of the Greek Interventions Code (KANEPE) for nonlinear static analysis using the SeismoBuild software.

The project involves the first-level pre-seismic assessment with a screening procedure on more than 50 school buildings of the Municipality of Agios Dimitrios in Athens. The inspection took place in the summer of 2023.
